Herb Grinders

            Listen, we get it. You like to smoke your herb and one of the last things you think about before, during, or after that process is the device you use to grind it up before you roll or pack it. However, we here at Brothers With Glass believe that every part of the smoking process is as important as what you’re smoking or what you’re smoking out of. When it comes to herb grinders we are no different. We want you to have the perfect grind, the perfect piece, the perfect smoking experience start to finish. For that reason, we carry a bunch of different grinders in different styles to fit your needs. From classic to slotted pour grinders, even a grinder that will automatically fill a pre-rolled joint tube so all you have to do is twit it and light it up. Pretty cool, right?

            The history of the herb grinder is a long and storied one. Originally, herb grinders were exactly that. They were usually a mortar and pestle used to grind herbs or grains for cooking. Typically made from old stones worn away from repeated friction. These styles of grinders were likely the first to be used for smoking herbs as well. There is evidence of ancient people using mortar and pestle style devices to grind up dried tobacco for smoking. Smoking herb or ganja, as a practice, is just about as old as smoking tobacco. Because of this, it is not a far stretch to assume that these early grinding devices were used with other “smokables” as well. In fact, ancient grinders like this have been found in burial sites dating back to about 4,000 years ago with remnants of cannabis found to have activate THC. That is proof positive that ancient people both used grinders and were aware of the medicinal and recreational benefits of the cannabis plant.

            We here at Brothers With Glass carry whatever kind of herb grinder you could possibly want or need. We have basic 3 piece grinders that simply break up the herb for you to roll and leave it in a little storage compartment or you to access it.. We also have three piece grinders that have a small retractable spout that comes off the storage area so you can pour your ground herb into your bowl or paper. Another style grinder we have is the 4 piece herb grinder. This is a lot like the standard 3 piece grinder, only the bottom of the storage area has a fine metal mesh to strain out and collect loose kief in the additional bottom compartment. This is good for when you want to add a little bit of extra potency to a bowl in the future. Or you can save it up and turn it into hash later. Whatever floats your metaphorical boat.             Maybe you want to grind up a lot of herb at once to roll a bunch of joints or blunts at the same time for a party or a long trip. Or maybe you just like to grind up your stash when you first get it so your herb is easier to work with when you use it in the future. Welcome to the world of the Banana Bros Otto Grinder. That’s right, they finally did it. Someone came up with an automatic grinder and roller in one. Simply put your whole buds in the top and close the lid. Then set a pre-rolled joint tube in the bottom compartment and push the start button. The Otto will automatically grind the herb and spit it out into the upright paper, filling it for you. When the tube is filled, simply pull it out, twist the end and light it up.
