How our online headshop is dealing with COVID-19 to help keep you safe

At Brothers with Glass, we have made a few changes that we wanted you to be aware of. To ensure we do our part and sanitize all-new inventory received we have been taking extra steps to ensure our products are safe during this time of uncertainty.

We have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and its impact on our community. As this situation has been changing on a daily basis we will continue to keep up to date and informed. Some of our customers rely on BWG for their smoking product needs on a monthly basis, and even medical devices and glass needs that cannot be met at the local level. We take great pride in taking care of our customers. Because the majority of the products we sell are made in America we anticipate little to no disruption in our supply change.

What we are doing

-BWG is run by a small team of five people, our warehouse makes it easy to maintain a proper distance.

-All incoming shipments are disinfected outside of our warehouse prior to being brought inside the shop for inventory and further disinfecting.

-All incoming shipments are completely disinfected with lysol and quarentied for 48 hours before added to stock and available for purchase.

-We are no longer recycling packing material from any inbound shipments.

-Our entire warehouse is cleaned and disinfected several times a day including first thing in the morning, before shipping begins, after receiving any shipments and at the end of the day.

Is getting a package in the mail safe?

According to United States Postal Service (USPS), “The CDC, the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as the Surgeon General, have indicated that there is currently no evidence that Covid-19 is being spread through the mail.”

According to the WHO, “the likelihood of an infected person contaminating commercial goods is low and the risk of catching the virus that causes Covid-19 from a package that has been moved, travelled, and been exposed to different conditions and temperature is also low.” The CDC is in alignment with the WHO in stating that the transmission risk via mail and packages is low, “in general, because of poor survivability of these coronaviruses on surfaces, there is likely very low risk of spread from products or packaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks at ambient temperatures. Coronaviruses are generally thought to be spread most often by respiratory droplets. Currently, there is no evidence to support transmission of Covid-19 associated with imported goods and there have not been any cases of Covid-19 in the United States associated with imported goods.”

Do we have to sign the parcel when it gets delivered? Is there an option to choose that you want it to be delivered to doorstep with no signing
