Zong Bongs

Zong-type bongs have been around since the 90’s, but are making a comeback in a big way! Zongs are bongs with zig-zag-shaped tubing that looks cool, provides extra space to cool smoke down, and blocks water splash-back! Zong bongs can have one, two, three or more “zongs,” adding more space for cooling smoke with each zig and zag of glass. 

Zong—like Kleenex, Taser, or Xerox—was originally purely a brand name associated with a single company, but the term has come to represent the type of product more broadly. Zong’s zig-zag style of glass tubing became synonymous with the company’s name, and so now every zig-zag shaped bong is called a zong bong industry-wide. Zong has even come to describe more bubble-shaped, warped tubing that is less sharp but achieves the same function of adding extra space for cooling smoke as much as possible.
